Guest Terms of Sale

Who you are buying from

StayBar is a software platform. When you place an order, your contract of sale is with the host of the property you are staying at (“the host”), not with StayBar. The host sets the items, prices and stock, and is responsible for fulfilling your order.

StayBar processes the payment on the host’s behalf and passes the funds (less the platform fee) to the host.

Orders and payment

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Payment is taken securely by Stripe via Apple Pay, Google Pay or card at the time you confirm your order.

You will receive an email receipt for every paid order. Your order reference is shown on the confirmation screen — keep it for any questions.

Alcohol

Alcoholic items are sold by the host under the host’s own liquor licence, displayed in the guest view where applicable. You must be 18 or over to order alcohol and may be asked to show ID on delivery. It is an offence to supply alcohol to a minor in Australia.

The host may refuse or cancel an alcohol order where required by law, with a full refund.

Refunds and problems

If an item is unavailable, incorrect or unsatisfactory, contact your host first (the Email host / Call host buttons in the guest view). The host can issue a full refund through the platform.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Tips and upsells

Housekeeping tips are passed to the host in full. Upsells such as late checkout or extensions are services provided by the host and are subject to availability and the host’s confirmation.

The service itself

We work hard to keep StayBar available and accurate, but the platform is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, StayBar is not liable for the host’s items, services, pricing errors, or any loss arising from use of the platform, and our total liability is limited to the platform fees paid in the preceding 3 months.
